Woodbury Volunteer Firefighters knocked down a structural fire at 41 Washington Road Friday night January 23^rd in freezing, fifteen-degree weather. “No injuries were reported,” said Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan.”We responded promptly to the 8:22pm call out and got there in time to save the building as well.” She added that the cause of the fire in the 18^th century structure was under standard investigation.  In the photo Fire Capt. Abouzeid is an IT marketing consultant. The department’s response was Engine 4 and Rescue 3 from the Orenaug Company while Engine 5 and the brand-new Tanker 6 arrived from the Hotchkissville Company. The Ambulance Association also provided a standby ambulance and medical crew.  In 2025, Woodbury Firefighters responded to 427 callouts including 28 active fires. This year began with a home fire on New Year’s Eve.
