Woodbury Firefighters will host the annual Fathers Day pancake breakfast Sunday June 21st at a special entry price of $2.50 in honor of the country’s Founding Fathers 250 years ago. “This year is the 250th birthday of the United States,” notes Deputy Fire Chief Dave Lampart, “and with juice, coffee, or tea, we will toast the founding fathers of the nation in addition to local dads.”
The breakfast for townsfolk and everyone else will be at department headquarters 25 Quassuk Road just off the intersection with US Route 6 from 7am to 11am. Firefighters will cook and serve pancakes with or without a choice of berries, bacon, coffee, tea, and juice. It’s only our 44th such event,” adds Deputy Chief Lampart. “We started this event in 1982 while the country has been in existence since 1776. We want to celebrate all dads everywhere. So bring your pop, your granddad, and everyone else from the family and your friends. We’ll have a good breakfast and a good time.”
