Amy Clark – Military Veteran, and Woodbury’s EMD
Meet Firefighter Amy
Born in Odessa, Texas, Amy enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999 at just 17 years old, beginning a distinguished career of service to her country. After retiring from the Navy in 2022, she and her partner, Brian, chose Woodbury as their home, where they share life with their beloved dog, Indian.
Never one to sit on the sidelines, Amy quickly became involved in serving her new community. She has served as Woodbury’s Emergency Management Director since 2023, joined the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department in 2025, is an active member of American Legion Post 155, and has volunteered with the Woodbury Ambulance Association.
Amy is also the proud mother of a daughter and a son, both grown and pursuing adventures of their own. When she is not volunteering, she enjoys reading, learning new things, spending time outdoors, and finding any opportunity that includes sunshine, laughter, and adventure. Recently, she has even taken up the challenge of learning Roller Derby.
From serving her country as a Navy veteran to serving her neighbors in Woodbury, Amy continues a lifelong commitment to helping others wherever she is needed most.
“If you want to get to know your neighbors, consider volunteering.”
