The Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department handed out 30 free ashcans at Ace Hardware’s reopening under new ownership at the store’s Main Street location on Saturday Nov 1st. “It’s the time of year when we respond to chimney fires,” said Chief Janet B. Morgan. “Chimney Fires are a great danger to houses. Using a metal ashcan is a safe way to dispose of red-hot coals,” she said. At the same time, the department displayed its new Tank Truck Six with firefighters explaining all the gauges, hoses, nozzles, supplies, and equipment.
