WOODBURY May 27th 2024 – One of the secret delights in childhood is a ride to school in a firetruck. With that in mind, the Woodbury Fire Dept’s free annual fishing derby for kids in May provided a firetruck ride to school as a raffle win. So did the fundraiser for the Mitchell Elementary School PTO. In photo one are fishing pals PreK kids from left Eliza Alka, Miles Ricketts, Sawyer Matthew, and first grader Wyland Matthew. In photo two are PTO beneficiaries with L-R Fire Lt Matt Gereg, kindergarteners Anna Trimandillis, Stella Nadeau, pre-k Teagan Gannon, Deputy Fire Chief Dave Lampart, Veteran Jon Kapstein, and not visible but above driving Engine 4 Firefighter Earl Gillette.
