Happy schoolkids rode to school Friday May 17th 2024 in Woodbury Fire Engines 4 and 8 as a prize in the silent auction held by parents in a PTO fundraiser earlier this year. The fourth grade young ladies from left are Reece Gilbert, Ella McGuirk, Ella Mosman, and Reece Antonacci. The second grade boys from left are Devlin Barry, Brody Fortunato, Camden Antonacci, and Grayson Barrett. The children departed the trucks and entered Mitchell Elementary School ontime and accompanied by a farewell blast of sirens, airhorns, and lights from the firetrucks. Escorting the schoolkids were Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan with Earl Gillette, Steve Anctil, Rafael Sbarge, and Jonathan Kapstein of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Dept.
