Woodbury Firefighters and Ambulance Association volunteers teamed up recently (Saturday April 25^th, 2026) to rescue mock victim Fire Captain Corey Shaker who supposedly fell and supposedly suffered a head injury, and a broken leg while hiking in the Whittemore Preserve.  “We do one or two of these rescues a year,” said Fire Chief Janet B. Morgan. “So, we practice our skills and there’s no hesitation when we put them to use.” After stabilizing Mr. Shaker and fitting a neck brace,  he was evacuated in the department’s UATV (Utility All-Terrain Vehicle). When not pretending to be a victim or directing firefighting, Mr. Shaker is CEO of the Shaker Automotive Group.
