This engine is a 6 man enclosed cab – the first for this station. Engine 2, which it replaced, was an open rear crew cab. MetroStar – Spartan Cab, Hale 1500 gpm pump ~ 1,000 gallon poly tank, Gross Vehicle Weight – 49,000 lbs, Cummins ISL 425 are some of it basic components. This Engine will be the first due out of the Hotchkissville Station as per the appropriate S.O.G.. It is a back up engine for MVAs when Engine 4 for is not available.
