Engine 8 housed at the Orenaug Station. It was built by Gowans-Knight in Watertown, CT.

The Department was awarded $275,000 from the FEMA toward the purchase of this truck.

Engine 8 carries six firefighters in an enclosed cab. It has a back up camera, a mini tower light and carries the department’s 35′ ladder.

It has a Hale pump ~ 2000gpm. It carries the departments standard hose assignment of: 2 – 300ft 1 3/4 cross lays, 1500ft of 5″, 300ft of 3″ and 300ft of 2 1/2″.

It is first due on any commercial fire alarms.
